Prom Again:Prom, the annual event that forces boys in tuxedos, girls in dresses and parents rent limousines. It is a carefree, joyful romp with your final high school classmates before you get to college or jobs or whatever comes after graduation. Or, if you listen to television and film, it is the single, transcendent evening that will ever grace the lives of young people (are bar / bah mitzvah damn!).
This is certainly the case for the Disney-PROM, a film whose all-caps title shows how much is at stake. The film begins with voice-over from Nova Prescott (Amiee Teegarden, from Friday Night Lights TV series) to declare that the prom is the head of all things high school, are spoken over a montage of photos of the cast, as they go through their fictional high school career. It is significant to come for the film, but for the wrong reasons. The characters have as much depth as a photo, while most of the notable bits are copied from the movie pictures of other teens.
