London

London:In the wake of a controversial police shooting, the British capital from two straight days of widespread riots and looting has been shaken. As in previous uprisings - like those in Vancouver, British Columbia to the Stanley Cup finals - everyone seems to be looking for someone to blame, some blame Twitter and Facebook and other pinning the violence on the BlackBerry and its instant-messaging capabilities. But that's a bit like the guilt of individual trees for the forest fire. As we've noted before in relation to the riots in Tunisia and Egypt, are the only real-time aspects of our increasingly mobile and connected lives, and this can be an incredibly powerful force for good and bad.
